Sunday, October 27
12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The folks at Bluescreek Farm Meats are hosting an Ox Roast at their farm in Marysville on Sunday, October 27th, from noon to 8:00 p.m., and they have kindly invited Slow Food Members to join the event. You are probably familiar with Bluescreek from their stand at the North Market. This is a great opportunity to see the farm, ask questions, and spend an enjoyable afternoon with other customers and fans.
This event is a potluck. The event is free and Bluescreek will be cooking the meat, but everyone who attends is asked to contribute a side dish. Options include a snack item, vegetable dish, fruit dish, dessert, pasta dish, gluten free dish, or something else.
Activities will include (but will not be limited to):
- An authentic Ox Roast (pit roasted beef)
- David’s famous deer chili
- Hot apple cider
- Hot chocolate
- A fun potluck style gathering
- The opportunity to see Bluescreek Farm Meats’ farm up close
- Cheryl & David’s Farm Tour at 2pm & 5pm
Because there is limited space, everyone who attends is required to have a ticket. The ticket has all of the information they need for the day. We have 20 tickets available to Slow Food members, first come first served. Each ticket is good for two people. To request your ticket(s), click here.
We’re immensely grateful for the generosity of our hosts, and we hope you can join us for a unique and convivial afternoon.
