Charity Happy Hour at the Hills Market

Posted on:

Every Wednesday a guest bartender joins the Hills Market on The Veranda to help support a charity or organization of his or her choice. Stop in for wine, beer and $7.99 large one-topping pizzas. Proceeds from the sale of all pizzas between 6 and 8:30 p.m. will be donated to the bartender’s chosen charity. No reservations are required.

On Wednesday, September 19, the Hills’ chosen charity will be Slow Food Columbus, and their guest bartender will be Board Chair Bear Braumoeller. Come out, say hi, and support the cause while enjoying a pizza on the Hills Market’s lovely veranda!

One-topping pizzas made with Nelson Gold and Cherry Tomatoes and Gunnison and Rossa di Milano onions (a big thanks to Wayward Seed Farm for the donation!) | $7.99

Vigilance Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Lake County CA | $3/glass
A rich, balanced cab that spends 18 months in oak barrels, Vigilance is sustainably farmed. Sheep are charged with the responsibility of weed control, and vigilant sheep dogs with their protection. An earth-friendly value.

Borealis White Blend 2010, Willamette Valley OR | $3/glass
A kitchen sink mixer of German/northern varietals, this wine immediately calls to mind Evolution and other substantial white blends. Unlike its compatriots though, Borealis is Certified Organic.

Laverstoke Park Farm Organic Lager | $3.00/bottle

Columbus Brewing Company Beers | $2.00/bottle
